MD and Techie’s All Time Favorite US Travel Destinations



As avid travelers, we are always on the lookout for new and exciting destinations to explore. From the serene beaches of Cape Cod to the stunning scenery of Yellowstone National Park, the possibilities are endless. Join us as we take you on a virtual tour of some of our favorite travel spots in the United States.


1. Ohiopyle, PA

Absolute paradise for nature lovers! With over 20,000 acres of untouched wilderness, it's a perfect destination for anyone who loves the great outdoors. But what makes it truly special is its white water rafting. The Youghiogheny River, which runs through the park, is an amazing spot for rafting and kayaking. If you're not into rafting, don't worry. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails to explore and beautiful waterfalls to discover.


2. Cape Cod, MA

Cape Cod, Massachusetts is a popular summer destination known for its beautiful beaches and charming coastal towns. With over 500 miles of coastline, there is no shortage of places to soak up the sun and take a dip in the ocean. Whether you are looking for a quiet, secluded beach or a lively, family-friendly spot, Cape Cod has something for everyone.


3. Lancaster, PA

Lancaster County, Pennsylvania is home to the Amish, a community known for their simple way of life and traditional crafts. A visit to Lancaster is a unique experience, where you can take a horse and buggy ride through the countryside, visit farmers' markets, and taste the fresh, homemade Amish cuisine. It's a great place to slow down and appreciate simple pleasures.


4. Manchester by the Sea, MA

If you are looking for a quintessential New England experience, look no further than Manchester by the Sea, Massachusetts. This charming coastal town is known for its beautiful harbor, sandy beaches, and quaint shops and restaurants. It's the perfect place to relax and take in the sights and sounds of the ocean. We spent our days here lounging on the sandy beaches and watching the sailboats drift by in the harbor. At night, we sat on the beach with a bottle of wine, listening to the sounds of the ocean and watching the stars twinkle above us. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and we can't wait to go back.


5. Myrtle Beach, SC

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is a popular vacation spot for families, thanks to its beautiful beaches and endless attractions. Whether you are looking for an amusement park, a live show, or just some fun in the sun, Myrtle Beach has it all. Don't miss the chance to ride the famous Myrtle Beach Ferris wheel at sunset for stunning views of the ocean.


6. Miami, FL

Miami, Florida is a vibrant and diverse city with something for everyone. Known for its beautiful beaches, world-class museums, and exciting nightlife, Miami is a must-visit destination. Take a stroll down Ocean Drive to admire the colorful art deco buildings, or hit up one of the city's famous nightclubs for a night of dancing.


7. Denver, CO

Denver, Colorado is a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts and beer lovers alike. With the Rocky Mountains in the distance, there are plenty of hiking trails to explore. After a day of hiking, be sure to sample some of the city's famous craft beer at one of its many breweries.


8. Carmel by the Sea, CA

This picturesque coastal town is the perfect place to unwind and relax. We spent our days wandering through the quaint streets, admiring the colorful flowers and unique architecture, and discovering hidden beaches with crystal clear water.

One of the highlights of our time in Carmel was visiting the iconic Carmel Mission, a stunning example of Spanish colonial architecture that dates back to the late 1700s. We also enjoyed browsing the many art galleries and boutique shops, where we found unique souvenirs and gifts.


9. Yellowstone National Park, WY

Our final destination was the world-renowned Yellowstone National Park, the world's first national park. One of the most unforgettable experiences was watching the Old Faithful geyser erupt. We also took a hike through the park's stunning wilderness, where we saw an abundance of wildlife, including elk, bison, and even a grizzly bear in the distance. The natural beauty of Yellowstone is truly awe-inspiring, and we were grateful to have the opportunity to experience it.
